As you will note from the dates of various letters, copies of which I’ve enclosed for your records, my letter writing to close out all the matters pertaining to Dennis got pushed aside. Unfortunately, with daily business demands, travel schedules, vacation plans with my own family, etc … I never got to finish what I had set out to do earlier. Your letter of July 27th reminded me to pick up where I left off.
Enough excuses! Your extensive network of host families is indeed a unique resource. I know, because before I found you, I had traveled down hundreds of dead-end streets looking for someone like you. Your selection of the Miller family for Dennis could not have been more appropriate in every way. You are truly a wonderful listener. You stand out in the field of international diplomacy because of your high interest in helping others.
